Technical sales engineers are often the key point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and introducing new products.
Will be responsible for charting out the strategy in his territory, maintaining relations with existing customers, while working towards developing new ones. He should be more of a Consultant to the customer, rather than a Sales person
Should be Polite, have good Communication Skills, have a good convincing power and be good in building human relations
Own vehicle is a must. Will be required to Travel substantially
